Serious About Owning One of My Wolfdog Puppies?
If you're seriously interested, you can get the ball rolling by sending in an application to see if you qualify to own a high content wolfdog puppy.
Below is my questionnaire application. Originally borrowed from "Mission WOLF", I have since added more questions to it.
If you are TRULY interested in a future pup, and you really think you qualify, please take the time to copy and paste the questionnaire in an email message and type your answers below each question. Answer EVERY single question thoroughly and honestly, and please also add photos/video where requested. I will not respond to an incomplete form, so make sure you go over it a few times before sending to make sure you've answered ALL the questions.

1. Why do you want to buy a wolf-dog cross?
2. What literature have you studied regarding wolf or wolf-dog ownership?
3. What experiences have you had with wolves and wolf-dogs? What can you tell me about low, mid and high contents? Their similarities? What characteristics distinguishes them from each other?
3a: If you have owned wolfdogs before, please attached photos of your past or current wolfdog[s]. What is the content their breeder[s] claimed them as? Do you think the breeder's claim was accurate? What physical and behavioral characteristics do your animals possess that makes you believe they are the content they were claimed?
3b: What type of diet and vaccination program does a wolf or wolf-dog require?
4. Do you have small children? What ages? Are you aware that wolves, wolf-dogs, or even domestic dogs should not be allowed around small children, unless under extremely close supervision?
5. Does the entire family agree on the purchase of a wolf or wolf-dog?
6. If you have an enclosure put up, please attach a video of it. If you do not have a pen currently, what expenses are you willing to incur in building an adequate environment for your wolf or wolf-dog? Do you have enough room for a wolf or wolf-dog?
7. Do you live in a heavy residential area?
8. Please describe your neighborhood (nearness of other homes, what other domestic animals reside nearby, etc.).
9. Can you commit to caring for the wolf or wolf-dog for it’s entire lifetime (16+ years)?
10. Is your veterinarian qualified to administer health care to exotic species? Is he/she aware that wolves and wolf-dogs are to be treated differently, both in handling and in medicinal/sedative applications? Please send me the contact information of your vet clinic.
11. Have you discussed wolf or wolf-dog ownership with other owners, or wolfdog-specific rescues/sanctuaries?
12. What are your state, county and local regulations concerning wolves and wolf-dogs?
13. What type of background do you have in working with and training canines? If you have no professional background training/working with large canines, what makes you believe you can handle and train a wolfdog?
14. Have you ever owned a dog before? If so, what breed and for how long? Why do you no longer have this animal? Why do you think this experience would prepare you for owning an animal that is essentially a wolf?
15. Are you looking for a guard animal?
16. Are you looking for a house-pet?
17. Do you have a full time career with long hours and many out-of-town trips? If yes, where will the wolfdog stay when you're at work? Will it be alone? Do you have a trusted dog-sitter who is experienced enough to care for a wolf or wolfdog, and who is close enough to socialize your new pup with so the pup isn't skittish of this person when the time comes for them to puppy-sit?
